Spending time reading is a very important part of the instructional process. We continually remind our students that in order to become better readers they must spend time reading. At school every teacher stops what they are doing at 2:15 everyday to give their students 15 minutes of reading time. In addition, we encourage our students to read at home every evening between 15 and 30 minutes. To further reinforce the importance of reading, we will be celebrating Children's Book Week beginning on November 16, 2009. We will have a series of fun, reading related activities that encourage children to read. Please read the information flier sent home with your child. You can get more information about the upcoming events by calling Mrs. Griffin in the media center.
